Two sent to hospital after Ishpeming accident
Two men were sent to the hospital after a two vehicle accident this afternoon in Ishpeming.
Ishpeming Police say it happened at about 1:10 p.m. at U.S. 41 and Lakeshore Drive.
According to a press release from the Ishpeming Police Department, Martin John Hanninen of Ishpeming pulled onto the highway from Lakeshore into the path of a westbound pickup truck driven by Ishpeming resident Robert Johnson.
Both men were taken to Bell Memorial Hospital; Hanninen was cited for ‘failure to yield.’
The accident is still under investigation. The Ishpeming City Fire Department and Michigan Department of Natural Resources assisted at the scene.
