MTECH Smartzone impacts community… Part 2

New companies often need a little extra help getting off the ground.

Have an idea?  Want to start a business?  The MTEC Smartzone’s SmartStart program helps bring your idea to the market.

Bowen and Amy knew very little about running a business, but the Smartzone has been there for them.

Another way a new business gets a helping hand is through the Entrepreneur Support Center, located in Hancock’s Jutila Center.

By giving people use of high–tech equipment to run their business…companies can gain the foothold needed to start making money and creating jobs.

Once they have graduated from the incubator…businesses then go on to make an impact on the community.

Tomorrow…we’ll look at how the MTEC Smartzone has attracted Fortune 500 companies to the area and how Michigan Tech students are benefitting.
