Snowmobile accident near Big Bay
One man is injured after a snowmobile accident near Big Bay Monday evening.
The Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post say the accident happened at around 5 p.m. in Powell Township on Trail No. 5, about nine miles south of County Road 550.
The driver of the snowmobile, a 45-year-old man from Florida slid on an icy spot of the trail. He hit a snowbank and fell off the snowmobile.
The man was treated and released at Marquette General Hospital for an injured elbow.
The State Police say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
