Houghton Co. arrest after car chase
A 27 year old man from South Range has been arrested for fleeing and eluding, operating while intoxicated, and driving on a suspended license.
This morning, at approximately 2:28 a.m., deputies from the Houghton
County Sheriff’s Office observed a silver Toyota truck traveling in
excess of the posted speed limit on M-26 near Atlantic Mine.
Deputies attempted to stop the truck, but the driver took off and a pursuit ensued. The driver of the Toyota truck eventually stopped in South Range on Sixth Street.
Deputies were assisted by Houghton City Police Department. This
incident remains under investigation.
