Students across several locations in Upper Michigan are out of school again today.  Schools in Keweenaw, Houghton, Baraga, Marquette and Alger County called off classes because of icy roads and freezing rain. This comes after two days off due to cold weather last week and earlier closings because of snow.

Law enforcement agencies are urging people to stay off the roads.  The Ontonagon County Sheriff says “Do not drive unless absolutely necessary…all roadways are extremely icy.”

For the rest of today expect a mix of freezing rain and snow. The high temperature today will be 41 degrees with a low of 23 degrees tonight. Tomorrow the high temperature will be around 30 degrees, with 4 to 6 inches of snow expected.
