Finding a parking space can be a nuisance, and it can cause frustration for shoppers and for the business community.
But the city of Marquette is looking to improve its current parking issues.
The Marquette Downtown Development Authority held a work session with the Marquette City Commission today.
A discussion of the recent downtown district parking study and parking management plan was on the agenda.
Parking consultant Tom Brown says the study looked at both on-street and off-street spaces.
The DDA also wants to include a plan that encourages investment, balances the needs of businesses and residents and makes the most of the city’s existing parking spaces.
