Fight the flu: get a flu shot
The flu is getting even more attention today. Healthcare officials across the country – and in Upper Michigan – are strongly advising that everyone be vaccinated: children to seniors.
While most pharmacies in the U.P. still have flu shots available, there has been a big demand in the past few days. Prices for the shots vary from $28-32. In some cases, Medicare or insurance covers the vaccination, but the amount of coverage varies.
Getting the vaccine is the best way to fight the flu. It’s also important to practice good hygiene habits like washing your hands or covering your mouth when you sneeze or cough.
