U.P. Children’s Museum plans “the world on a plate”

The 12th Annual Culinary Journey will be held Sunday, January 27th, at the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum in Marquette.   The museum will be closed that day to allow chefs participating to prepare for the event.

This adult fund-raising event is scheduled for 6 -8 p.m.  It features culinary creations from around the world by some of this region’s most talented chefs, plus an ample selection of fine wines, along with live music from Eclettico and floral accents by Flower Works. Tickets are on sale now ($60 each, or $110 a couple) at the Children’s Museum store or by calling (906) 226-3911. A limited number will also be available at the door.

“This is a chance for people to partake in what has become one of the best food events in the region,” according to Museum Director Nheena Weyer Ittner. “It is an absolutely not-to-be-missed feast.”
