Ishpeming trails 8-6 at halftime
The Ishpeming Hematites are in a dog fight with Detroit Loyola, as the Bulldogs lead 8-6 at halftime in the MHSAA Division 7 State Championship game at Ford Field in Detroit.
Eric Kostreva opened the scoring for the Hematites with a 55 yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
Alex Briones was stopped on the 2pt conversion- and Ishpeming led 6-0 after the first quarter.
Loyola scored their lone touchdown in the second quarter on a 28 yard pass on 4th down.
