Hematites prepare for game at Superior Dome

The Superior Dome in Marquette is home to the NMU Wildcats Football team. Come Saturday morning and into the afternoon, the college campuses indoor stadium will be taken over by two high school semifinal football games.

The Ishpeming Hematites practiced at the Superior Dome for the first time this afternoon, getting used to playing on the field turf, rather than what has been the very wet and muddy field in recent weeks at the Ishpeming Playgrounds.

Regardless of playing indoors or outdoors, the Hematites are happy that they are still playing football this time of the year.

Ishpeming will play Pewamo-Westphalia Saturday at 11am. Menominee and Grand Rapids West Catholic will play following the Ishpeming, P-W game at approximately 2pm.

We will preview the Maroons semifinal game in Division 5 tomorrow at 5:30.
