H.S. Playoff Preview: Negaunee Miners
(CORRECTION: Shelby H.S. is 418 miles from Negaunee- not 458 miles from Metro Detroit)
The Negaunee Miners football team is three wins away from winning their first state championship since 2002.
In order to make it to Ford Field, Negaunee must win what will most likely be their final home game at Miners Field come Saturday.
The 9-2 Shelby Tigers will come to the U.P. for Saturdays Regional Final.Like the Miner, the Tigers did not allow an offensive touchdown in their latest playoff game.
In order to keep their season alive this weekend, the Miners must continue to play rock solid defense like they have all season.
If Negaunee wins on Saturday, they will make their first trip back to the State Semifinals since 2003, when the Miners fell to Saginaw Nouvel Catholic.
Saturdays game starts at 1PM.
