Police are busy looking for two lost bird hunters in Skandia tonight.
Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post say the two hunters are somewhere in the vicinity of Camp 4 Road.
The two hunters, a man and a woman, went out hunting somewhere between 4 and 4:30 pm Monday.
They called 911 shortly before 8 to say that they were lost.
Brush in the area is very thick, making visibility poor even during daylight hours.
But the two bird hunters have been in communication with law enforcement.
The State Police say they were in good condition at last report, and they’ve even pitched a fire to keep warm while waiting to be rescued.
