NMU's Adair named CCHA rookie of the week

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Freshman Cohen Adair, of the Northern Michigan University hockey team, is the Central Collegiate Hockey Association Gongshow Rookie of the Week after his performance against the University of Michigan over the weekend.
The 6-foot-2 forward from Stratford, Ontario, had a goal and an assist, and was the Perani Cup third star, in a 4-4 tie with Michigan on Friday. He added another goal in a 4-3 win over the Wolverines on Saturday.
It’s the second time this season Adair is the CCHA Rookie of the Week. He currently leads the ‘Cats with five goals and is second on the team in points with six.
Northern travels for its first two CCHA road series on the next two weekends, starting with a trip to Miami this weekend.
