New business opens in Hancock

Hancock, MI — Remy Battery is opening a second location in
the Upper Peninsula later this month with a new store in
Hancock.

Area individuals and businesses will have access to the company’s
product line at the retail store located at 315 Dakota Street, in the old Everts building. The
Wisconsin retailer also has a location in Escanaba, which opened in
October 2010.

“We’re very excited to become a part of the Hancock community,”
notes Mike Moeller, president of Remy Battery. “Our business has
always been about selling quality products and serving our customers.
We look forward to continuing this tradition in Hancock.”

Local resident Adam Laplander is the manager of the new Hancock store.
“Remy Battery offers one-stop shopping for all types of
batteries,” Laplander shares. “Whatever your product, we can
supply and install the battery power you need.”

According to Laplander, the new store will carry a full line of
quality branded batteries, including automotive, commercial, lawn and
garden, marine, motorcycle, cell or cordless phones, camcorder,
laptop, two-way radios, emergency lighting, alkaline, booster packs,
gel cell or uninterruptable power sources. The retailer also offers a
full line of battery accessories — from chargers and testers to
cables and lugs — and provides free 15-minute installation, free
electrical check, free battery recycling, custom battery designs and
installations.

The Hancock store opened Monday, October 22.  Hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday,  8 a.m. to noon. For more information, call 1-800-455-7400 or visit www.remybattery.com.
