Three Vehicle Accident
One person was injured tonight in a three car accident at the intersection of on US 41 in front of the Holiday gas station in Chocolay township. The accident occurred just before 7 P.M.
A southbound vehicle driven by Marquette resident Joseph Menze attempted to make a left turn into the holiday gas station. Menze pulled out into the path of a north bound vehicle driven by Negaunee resident Alyssa Denofire. Menze vehicle stuck the northbound car and then slid into a third vehicle that was waiting to leave the Holiday station.
Menze sustained minor injuries and went to Marquette General Hospital on his own.
The Chocolay Township Police were assisted by the Marquette General Hospital E.M.S, Marquette City Police Department and the Chocolay Township Fire Department. Menze was cited for failure to yield.
