Packers RB Benson out 6-8 weeks
Green Bay Packers RB Cedric Benson, the teams leading rusher, will miss the next 6-8 weeks with a left foot injury. Benson was injured in the 2nd quarter of Sunday’s 30-27 loss at Indianapolis.
According to sources at ESPN, Benson is awaiting to hear from doctors on whether or not his injury will require surgery, which would most likely cause Benson to miss the rest of the season.
Expect the combination of Alex Greene, Brandon Saine, and James Starks to try and fill Benson’s shoes in the backfield.
