Delta flights cancelled at Sawyer due to bomb threats
Flights to and from Sawyer International Airport are in question this afternoon as Delta and American Airlines due to a bomb threat at the facility.
Pinnacle Airlines spokesman Joe Williams says Delta flights into and from Sawyer have been cancelled.
Williams says extra sections will be added to accommodate passengers scheduled on the four Delta flights (3656, 4303, 3622 and 4322) that were to arrive and/or depart this evening.
The next American Airlines flight is not scheduled to arrive at Sawyer until 9:50 p.m. American officials say they will make a determination on that flight later this evening.

The airport was evacuated at about 1 pm today.
Police say someone called 911 at 12:50 this afternoon and said that a bomb was set to go off at the airport in about an hour.
A suspicious package was found at the airport late this afternoon.
Personnel from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department, the Forsyth Township Police and County Emergency Rescue secured the area until a bomb team could arrive at the scene.
