Bomb Squad Awaited at Sawyer Airport
Authorities say the bomb squad dispatched to search Sawyer International Airport after a bomb threat this afternoon should arrive late tonight.
The airport, the Sawyer Medical Clinic, Marquette General Hospital, Northern Michigan University and North Star Academy in Marquette Township were all targets of bomb threats today.
Suspicious packages were found at the two Sawyer locations.
Police and emergency crews are standing by until a downstate bomb squad can check the packages.
All flights into and out of the airport this evening have been cancelled.
