Bessemer Murder Suspect Bound Over

A judge has decided there’s enough evidence against a Bessemer man for him to go to trial for murdering his elderly wife.

50–year–old Kenneth Wayne Peters has been bound over to Gogebic County Circuit Court today following his District Court preliminary exam.

His Circuit Court arraignment is scheduled for October 9th.

Peters is accused of killing his wife, 79–year–old Ethel Grzena–Peters.

Ethel went missing in early August and her body was found about ten days later.

Police arrested Kenneth Peters on August 22nd.

He’s charged with first–degree murder, second–degree murder and second–degree vulnerable adult abuse.

Peters is being held in the Gogebic County Jail without bond.
