Marquette Schools Strategic Plan

The Marquette Area Public Schools are working with the Michigan Association of School Boards to develop a comprehensive strategic plan.

The plan is intended to produce four or five priority goals to be reached over the next three to five years.

MAPS Superintendent Debbie Veiht says the plan will use data, along with ideas from staff, students, and community members,  to help the Board of Education identify goals.

MAPS is holding three meetings about the strategic plan in the next couple of weeks:
Tuesday, September 18th, Bothwell Middle School – 6 pm
Wednesday, September 19th, Sandy Knoll Elementary – 6 pm
Wednesday, September 26th, Superior Hills Elementary – 6 pm.

Anyone can attend the meetings.

MAPS says if you can’t make it to any of the meetings or if you have additional input, you can submit your ideas online through September 30th.

All responses at face-to-face meetings and those received electronically will be anonymous and handled confidentially by the Michigan Association of School Boards.
