NMU Volleyball player earns GLIAC honor

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Junior setter Kellisha Harley of the Northern Michigan University volleyball team has been named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North Division Player of the Week.

Harley led the Wildcats to a perfect 4-0 record at the Ferris State Volleyball Invitational. In her first weekend in an NMU uniform, the transfer from Iowa Lakes Community College, setup the balanced Wildcat attack, averaging 31.25 assists per match. Harley was named to the All-Tournament Team. In the very first match against Minnesota Crookston, Harley had 43 assists. She also contributed with 16 digs, 13 kills and six service aces on the weekend.

The Wildcats take on No. 6 Minnesota Duluth on Tuesday evening and then travel to Rola, Mo. to play in the Missouri S&T Middle of Everywhere Classic.
