Guilty Verdict in Purse Snatching Trial
The Hancock man accused of stealing an elderly woman’s purse has been convicted.
Michael Hylton was found guilt of larceny in a building today in Houghton County Circuit Court.
Prosecutors said Hylton stole a purse from an elderly Hancock woman last November.
He was sentenced to four years in prison, a $5,000 fine or both.
A co–defendant, Corey Hansen of South Range, was sentenced to one year in jail in March.
