Vehicle hits logging truck in Ontonagon County
No injuries were reported in an incident in which a vehicle was hit by a logging truck Thursday in Ontonagon County. The Sheriff’s Department says it happened at 1:10 p.m on M-64.
According to Sheriff Dale Rantala, Brian Perttunen of Ironwood pulled out of the M64 Truck Stop parking lot onto the roadway and struck a logging truck. The truck driver, Michael Krawze of Laona, Wisconsin, told police he was unable to avoid a collision with Perttunen’s vehicle.
Neither of the drivers was injured. Perttunen’s vehicle sustained moderate damage. The Krawze truck had damage to the rear tire.
