16 graduate from Police Academy

16 future law enforcement officers were the center of attention today.  The cadets spent the past sixteen weeks working side by side to get through the rigorous course.

Aided by local law enforcement groups, and peer support, they were able to get through the academy. Now, they are looking to start their careers.

To complete the NMU Regional Police Academy, cadets have 800 hours of training as required by the Michigan Commission On Law Enforcement Standards.
