Record Number of Ore To Shore Entries
The Ore To Shore Mountain Bike Epic gets started early tomorrow morning.
Organizers of the races say this is a record year.
More than 2,200 people pre–registered for the various races this year, which is already more than last year’s record total participation.
But this year’s 2,200 or so doesn’t include bikers who showed up tonight at Marquette’s Lakeview Arena to register, and there were hundreds more of them.
The first race, the 10–mile Shore Rock, starts at 8 tomorrow morning at Lakeview Arena.
The 28–mile Soft Rock starts at 9 am at Lakeview School in Negaunee.
Then the 48–mile Hard Rock stars at 9:45 at Iron and Silver Streets in Negaunee.
Several kids’ races start at Lakeview Arena tomorrow afternoon.
