MI Public Service Commission at U.P. State Fair

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) will
host an informational exhibit at the Upper Peninsula State Fair in
Escanaba from August 13 to August 19 during fair hours.  In addition,
MPSC Chairman John D. Quackenbush will highlight utility programs
geared toward senior citizens at 2 p.m. on Thurs., Aug. 16, which has
been designated as Senior Citizen Day at the fair.

“The Upper Peninsula State Fair is a unique venue to reach out to
the thousands of utility customers who visit the fair,” notes MPSC
Chairman John D. Quackenbush.  “MPSC staff will be on hand to answer
questions related to electric, natural gas, telecommunications and
cable service; take complaints for follow up; and provide helpful
information.”

Last year, nearly 61,000 people visited the Upper Peninsula State
Fair.  More information about the fair – including ticket
information – is available on the fair’s website.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Licensing and
Regulatory Affairs.
