Although the Michigan Primary Election results are unofficial, results are beginning to come in.

In the race for State Representative in the 109th District, Republicans Jim Hafeman and Jack Hubbard were face to face while Democrats John Kivela and Tony Retaskie were head to head.

Democrat Steve Lindberg is leaving the house due to term limits.

In early reporting, it is a tight race between Kivela and Retaskie on the Democratic side and Hubbard is leading on the Republican ticket.

Of course, that is with only two of the four counties (Alger and Luce) reporting in the district.

In the 110th District, with three counties reporting, Incumbent Republican Matt Huuki was unopposed.

On the Democratic side, Scott Dianda  may end up as the November challenger.

So far, only Keweenaw, Houghton and Baraga County results are in.

All three of those counties have decided Dianda over will Lucius.
