MDOT seeks public input

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will host a series of public meetings throughout Michigan this month to get feedback on the state long-range transportation plan. The plan, also known as MI Transportation Plan: Moving Michigan Forward, is being revised through the year 2035.

Each open house-style meeting will run from 5 to 7 p.m. with a formal presentation at 5:15 and 6:15 p.m., followed by a discussion period, except for the session in Lansing on Aug. 15.

The public meetings will take place at the following Upper Michigan locations:

Monday, Aug. 13:  Escanaba at Bay de Noc Community College (Joseph Heirman University Center)

Wednesday, Aug. 15:  Houghton at Michigan Technological University  (Lakeshore Center-Community Room)

Thursday, Aug. 16:   Sault Ste. Marie at Lake Superior State University  (Cisler Center’s Lake Superior Room)
