New administration at NICE schools

NICE Community Schools in Marquette County has hired several new administrators to round out the leadership team for the 2012-2013 school year.

Linda Ludwig has been hired as the K-8 principal at Aspen Ridge School. She replaces Bryan DeAugustine who is now the district’s superintendent. Ludwig taught in Gwinn for twelve years, and was the elementary principal at North Star Academy prior to working for NICE.

Jared Koski returns to NICE as the State and Federal Programs Coordinator. Koski worked in the district as a speech and language pathologist in the past, and spent several days a week there last year as a speech and language pathologist for Marquette-Alger Regional Educational Service Agency.Jon Beckman has been hired in an expanded administrative capacity as both the district’s athletic director and as the assistant principal for the 6-12 grades. Beckman has worked at NICE for thirteen years as a teacher, coach, and athletic director.

David Boase continues his position as the Westwood High School principal. Boase has led WHS for the past twelve years as the building’s head administrator. The NICE Community Schools Board of Education completed hiring their administrative staff in July.
