Gas Line Ruptured in Ironwood

Nearly 400 residences in Ironwood near the Norrie area could be without power and gas services until tomorrow. The City of Ironwood Department of Public Safety says a break in a six inch natural gas line at the 200 block of East Oak Street is to blame. The gas line ruptured earlier today after being hit by a construction crew. This caused natural gas to flow freely. Officials say Xcel energy crews are working to fix the rupture. All roads in the area have been reopened. Service is expected to be restored by noon tomorrow. There were no injuries in the incident.
