Car Accident in Baraga Injures Three

Three people were injured in a car accident in Baraga that ended with one of the vehicles hitting a gas station.

The KBIC Tribal Police say it happened on U.S.–41 at about 7 last night.
It involved two vehicles that were both northbound.
A Chevy Lumina was in the left turn lane, signaling to turn left.
But the driver apparently had second thoughts.

Police say the driver instead turned right, going back into the northbound lane.
A small SUV hit the Lumina, lost control and crashed through the corner of the BP gas station.

Two people in the Lumina were treated for injuries and released.
the SUV driver was evaluated at the scene for cuts and bruises, and a small bump on his head.
Baraga Village Police assisted at the scene.
