Tourism Tuesday: Lakenenland

A local man has put a new spin on art at his sculpture park in Chocolay Township.
Lakenenland’s dozens of sculptures and figures are one-of-a-kind designs that are made up of primarily scraps and other junk.
Owner Tom Lakenen has had the junkyard art on display since 2003.
He says constructing the different figures can be time-consuming, and although he’s often asked to replicate or create a sculpture for someone else, Tom always answers ‘no’.
Lakenenland is located across from Shot Point on M–28.
It’s open to the public around the clock, 365 days a year.
