A new location for a Marquette County farmers market has had great feedback.
Both vendors and shoppers of the jackson mine farms and crafters market are pleased with the new Miner’s Park location.
They’ve seen more traffic and sales.
City officials say on average about 300 people stop by the market each week and the number of vendors has increased nearly 20 spots.
One vendor at the market has seen quite a following of customers develop since the move. This has kick started a business opportunity for their family. Their new business, Seasoned with Salt, will be opening in August.
The market is open every Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The market season will end August 29th.
