MI Attorney General Forum on MGH Sale

Marquette General Hospital recently agreed to a buyout by Duke LifePoint.
The sale, changing the hospital from nonprofit to for–profit status, has to be approved by Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette.
Staff members from Schuette’s office will visit Marquette next week to ask for public comment on the sale.
They’re visiting Upfront and Company next Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm.
They’ll also explain how the Attorney General will review the entire sale process.
Representatives from both MGH and Duke LifePoint will be on hand.
Local government officials and staff from other Upper Peninsula hospitals are among many other groups of people that have also been invited to attend.
