Early Race Registration Ends Saturday
HANCOCK – The Portage Health Canal Run is right around the corner, and anyone interested in joining the race is reminded that the early registration discount is in effect through Saturday.
“We need people to register early for our planning purposes,” said Angela Luskin, race director.
The price of the race is $25 through Saturday. On Sunday the price jumps to $35. The registration fee is the same for the 5-mile and 10-mile walk or run, and includes a bamboo t-shirt, snacks at the race and a slew of other freebies.
“Last year we had more than 500 people, which was a record high for us,” said Luskin. “This year we’re hoping to bring even more people in, and as of right now, we’re in pretty good shape.”
The Canal Run has added a youth race on Friday July 20 this year, which will take place in conjunction with the pre-race pasta dinner.
