Search continues for hit and run driver
Marquette Police have received a few tips, but are hoping for someone to come forward with more information about a hit and run incident July 4th.
It happened about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at the corner of South Front and Genessee.
Two people crossing the street were hit by a southbound vehicle on South Front. One of them, 42 year old Karin Lachapell, has died. The other victim, Bryan Lachapell, is in stable condition at Marquette General Hospital.
Police are treating the incident as a ‘hit and run, failure to stop.’ The investigation is continuing.
