Pedestrian Accident Follow-Up

A State Police accident reconstruction expert is helping Marquette City Police investigate a hit–and–run accident from Wednesday night.
Two pedestrians were hurt in that accident.
It happened just before 10:30 last night at the intersection of South Front and Genesee Streets.
A 42–year–old Marquette woman and a 39–year–old Marquette man were walking on Genesee toward Lake Superior.
A vehicle on South Front Street, heading toward Harvey, hit them when they tried to cross at the intersection.
The driver fled the scene.
Both pedestrians were taken to Marquette General for treatment.
Marquette Police are asking anyone who saw the accident or who knows more about it to call them at 228–0400.
