Car Hits Ishpeming Township House

A 20–year–old Ishpeming man is charged with operating while intoxicated after hitting a house overnight.
It happened at 100 Silver Street in Ishpeming Township at about midnight.
State Police from the Negaunee Post say the man and another driver were both heading west on Greenwood Street, with the other driver’s vehicle in front.
When the other driver tried to turn south onto Prospect Street, the Ishpeming man tried to pass.
But police say he careened off the other vehicle into the house at 100 Silver.
His car plowed through the living room wall.
Neither the driver nor the homeowner were hurt.
