Laurium Garage Fire

An investigation continues into a building fire this afternoon in Laurium.
Fire crews were called out just before 2:30 pm to a four–car garage on Osceola Street, just south of Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.
Laurium Fire Chief Dan Mukavetz says it was fully involved in flames when they arrived, and there were no electrical of gas hook-ups to the garage.
Heavy smoke damaged neighboring houses, but no one was hurt.
An investigation into the fire is continuing.
