UPSET Bust in Forsyth Twsp.

At 8 p.m. Monday the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Albatross Street in Forsyth Township.

Detectives received information that the occupant at the home could possibly be in violation of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act. After detectives searched the residence they found a two-year-old girl in the home, an illegal firearm, and a marijuana grow operation.

The suspect was detained and later released. Charges will be sought after the Marquette County Prosecutor’s office reviews the case.

UPSET was assisted at the scene by The Forsyth Township Police Department, the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post, and the Department of Human services Child Protective Services.
