Gwinn Man Sentenced for Domestic Violence

A Gwinn man was sentenced to a year in prison today after a domestic violence incident involving an elderly woman.
32-year-old Corey LeMieux has been given credit for 53 days already served.
He was arrested in April on domestic violence, third offense, among other charges.
The Forsyth Township Police Department says the incident happened on Koski Lane on April 27th.
In May, LeMieux entered a guilty plea in Marquette County District Court to second-degree domestic violence and attempting to resist, obstruct or assault an officer.
A 70-year-old woman — a relative of LeMieux’s — was injured in the incident.
A neighbor helped police restrain LeMieux.
