Pictured Rocks Road Race registration continues

The Pictured Rocks Road Race is a U.P. racing tradition, and this year, it will begin a new chapter for a non-profit organization. The race is planned for June 24 in Munising, on the shores of Lake Superior.

Top Notch competition, un-matched natural beauty, and exceptional small town hospitality will make this a favorite on your annual road race calendar. And also, what an enjoyable way to support the Upper Peninsula Region of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Half Marathon:
Ridges, woods, waterfalls, streams, and lake views characterize this unique well-marked course. The route includes hilly paved roads and forested trails. Also included is a run up legendary “Stink Hill.” (Walk part way, if you must!) This challenging course has motivated many runners to return year after year.

5Km:
The 5K course traverses a rolling, mostly paved route through downtown Munising and some residential areas. Runners will experience views of Lake Superior, Munising Harbor, and the Pictured Rocks Cruises boat dock as they move through Bay Shore Park.

Fun Walk:
Walkers may choose all or part of either course. Please start early enough to complete your walk before 11:00 a.m. (Most walkers cover 2 ½ to 3 ½ miles per hour.)
