History Comes to Life

Kids across Upper Michigan are counting down the days until summer vacation.
But that doesn’t mean the learning has stopped.
4th graders from Cherry Creek Elementary School in the Marquette area public school district had a special experience at the Marquette Regional History Museum today.

Students were split into two different groups to help recreate the fur trades of the 1600’s.
The exercise gave the students a chance to experience what trading was like between two very different cultures.

The museum has been playing host to school across the U.P. since April.
