Marquette County Bank Robber Pleads Guilty

The downstate man accused of robbing a Marquette County bank last fall has admitted to the crime.

Justin Dee McLean pleaded guilty to armed bank robbery in U. S. District Court in Marquette this afternoon. McLean told the court he robbed the Northern Michigan Bank and Trust in Harvey on October 12, 2011.

The pellet gun he showed the teller has not been found.

He fled by car and was arrested in the state of Wyoming several days later.

Sentencing is set for September 20. McLean still has charges pending in state court from suspected criminal activity in Cheboygan County.
