Weekend Assault in Brimley
One woman is in custody after an assault this weekend in Chippewa County.
26 year old Suzanne Jo Kavo was arrested for aggravated assault with a weapon.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department received a call of a disturbance early Sunday morning at an apartment complex in Brimley.
They found two injured women in the hallway.
One woman was severely beaten.
Police say a verbal spat turned physical when one of the women hit the other with a baseball bat.
Both subjects were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
Kavo is being held in the Chippewa County Correctional Facility.
