Trail Network looking to Purchase City Land
The Marquette City Commission met for a regular board meeting tonight to discuss several agenda items relating to the purchase of city– owned property.
Many community members were in attendance tonight to voice their opinions on one particular area of land requested for purchase.
The Noquemanon Trail Network Council has asked to purchase about 30 acres of land from the city.
N.T.N. has plans to further develop the already existing trail network by extending the bike path and installing a fully functional trail head with restroom facilities. Many community members were in attendance at tonight’s meeting to discuss this particular issue. Some community members were concerned, suggesting that this area be left alone for further residential development.
