D.J. Jacobetti Veteran's Award Banquet

The D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans held it’s 13th Annual Volunteer Banquet tonight.

This event was held to recognize people who help the veterans and maintain the quality of care at the Jacobetti Home. This is a special gathering for both volunteers and the staff.

During the past year, volunteers at the home logged almost 13,000 hours. 146 of those volunteers worked at least 25 hours each over the last year. Special awards were given to those who worked over 1,000 hours. Volunteer Pam Jackovich has logged more hours than anyone over the years, with 7,000 volunteer hours.

The Jacobetti Home is adapting to a large number of veterans from The War in Iraq.

The Jacobetti Home has seen a rising number of individuals who are just stopping into the home looking for information on how to get involved. If you would like more information, contact the home at 906–226–3576.
