Law enforcement agencies in the Western U.P. are still on the lookout for a walkaway prisoner.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department says the hunt continues for 27–year–old Jeremy Nordstrom of Calumet. Shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, he walked away from a work crew at the Houghton County arena in Hancock.

He stands 6–foot–2 and weighs about 180 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.

Nordstrom was in jail for violating probation for larceny and allowing a person to drive in violation of the motor vehicle code.

Police say he’s a minimum security inmate and is unarmed, with no history of violence.

If you have any information on where he is, the Sheriff’s Department is asking you to call them at 482–0055, or your own local Police agency.
