Members of the Lake Superior Community Partnership gathered tonight for their annual dinner to honor a few special business professionals within the community.
The these this year was Mardi Gras.
This event serves as the primary fundraising event for LSCP, and raises funds for their economic development programs. Each year, two Distinguished Service Awards are handed out. One to an individual, and one to a business who excel in helping improve the City of Marquette.
To be eligible for this award the individual or business must be apart of Marquette County and involved with LSCP either by sitting on a committee, being a partner, or a volunteer. What they give back to the community as a whole is also taken into account.
The awards were presented in front of nearly 300 members of the Marquette County community.
