MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN — U.S. Attorney Donald A. Davis announced today that Joseph Paul Jaukkuri, age 32, a resident of Marquette, Michigan, has been arraigned in U.S. District Court on charges of knowingly providing a firearm to a convicted felon. If convicted, Jaukkuri faces up to 10 years in federal prison. U.S. District Judge R. Allan Edgar has scheduled a trial in this case beginning on May 21, 2012.

The indictment returned by the federal grand jury alleges that Jaukkuri provided a 12- gauge shotgun to Tyler John Wolf on September 20 or 21, 2011. The charges in the indictment are merely accusations, and Jaukkuri is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Wolf has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter for the killing of John Adam Bradbury on September 21, 2011, and was sentenced to 7 to 15 years in prison.
